But Jade isn't there.
Charisse texts her to say that she's outside.
And the message doesn't go through, which is odd.
But could it be the weather?
She calls her and it just rings and rings.
Shuri's figure is okay.
Maybe Jade ran back inside for something, or maybe she's still getting ready.
Maybe there was an emergency and Jade had to rush off in her own car.
Except Jade's car is right there, still parked inside the complex, so she hasn't left.
But she's not at the gate, and she's not answering, and the gate is locked.
so Charisse cannot even get inside.
At this point, she decides to call one person who would have to know where Jade is, Jade's husband Christopher.
So she calls him, and he's home in bed.
He just got in from a night shift, and when Charisse asks him where Jade is, he's confused because, as far as he knew, Jade had already left for work.
That was the whole point.
She left the house to go wait for Charisse.
He buzzes Charisse in through the gate, and that's when it starts to sink in slowly.
