And it should.

It's what makes me cry in these videos as uncomfortable as that might make some of you feel.

But maybe you can relate.

That pain is beyond terrifying to me.

I put myself in Brooke's position to see what's happening through her eyes, through her tears, through her begging and pleading to be let go.

She was alive when she was stabbed.

So to think about the pain that she went through knowing that there was nothing she could do.

The thoughts that were going through her mind, what were they?

I can only imagine.

Were they family, friends, her brother, her future?

Then it must just turn to darkness.

And I'm sorry I even have to go there, but it's just unfathomable to me.

Now let's go back to the day before Brooke was murdered.

It was Saturday, September 6, 1997.

It wasn't a school day, but Brooke had a busy day.

She went to a number of places on and off campus.

She met with several people, went out to eat, out to parties.

It was a lot for them to sift through.

It's a tough job.

There are thousands of students rushing around to different functions all day and all through the night.
