Members I'll I'll say uh I wanna speak on item number one and I appreciate Councilmember Siegel recognizing item number one.

uh people will re remember that we created the Austin Infrastructure Ac Academy to bring together uh employers, educators, community organizations and workforce partners so that we'd be in a position to strengthen and grow Austin's workforce.

When it came to mobility and infrastructure projects, transportation, construction, other skilled trades.

We worked very closely with the skilled uh trade unions and they were a key part of helping us craft this uh infrastructure academy and have been consistently involved since and of course ACC.

Part of our goal was to evolve the economic development paradigm

Where it's not just about at the end of every year counting the number of new jobs created, but counting the number of people we're actually getting into jobs that are Austinites.

And that was a big part of the Austin Infrastructure Academy.

With you know around twenty five billion dollars worth of mobility and infrastructure projects.

This was this is the probably the biggest economic development sector we had.

And it creates the opportunity for people to move into those jobs in such a way that they can then afford to stay in Austin.

in most instances being paid prevailing wages.

Since launching in March of twenty twenty five,
