I feel like the practice of optometry is on the cusp of seeing it.

And that is like, you know, I am a whole person.

I have a visual system.

The health of my visual system is directly related to the level of inflammation in my whole body.

And so the answer to your question is yes.

But there is specialized nutrition that supports lots of different inflammatory processes throughout the body that reduces, that supports our resilience against all different kinds of stress.

My background is I've been – well, I was the first –

sales employee for MacuHealth, as we know it today.

So, yes.

So I've been having this conversation, this carotenoid conversation for a really long time.

Prior to working at MacuHealth, I worked for basically on a project.

It was called the AMDI manager.

This was a long time ago, but essentially it was trying to help

optometry really embraced that medical model and feel more confident and comfortable talking with patients and helping.

What was it called?

It was, it doesn't exist anymore, but it was called the AMDI manager.

Yeah.

So this was happening back when optometry was just switching over into entirely electronic medical records or electronic medical records.

And so it was sort of a combined forces of a lot of different companies.
