So what I love is that the practice, like I wish my dentist would, I love my dentist, by the way.
She's amazing.
Like I really do.
But I wish the practice of dentistry would get more involved in, you know, gastroenterology.
Like it is a part of your digestive tract.
Oral health is so important to the way you actually receive nutrition.
So, I mean, dentistry, similarly, is not a compartmentalized practice.
Like, the health of your teeth is directly related to how you actually are able to get nutrition.
So, again, the body may not be compartmentalized.
Absolutely.
These nutrients, like I said earlier, they're facilitating that neurophysiological communication pathway, which is going to make... So basically, it's helping your retinal cells to communicate information more clearly and efficiently to each other.
On top of the antioxidant properties, which is kind of what I'm talking about now, you know that these nutrients are accumulating anterior to those central foveal photoreceptor cells, so as light comes through the eye...
In the bigger your macular pigment mountain, the more surface area that has, because these nutrients are amazingly enough yellow, the more blue light is going to get absorbed.
So you get a reduction in intraretinal stray light, a reduction in things like glare and chromatic aberration, improvement in contrast sensitivity.
But speaking to the antioxidant properties, the type of improvements that your patients will see are significant.
you know, speed of visions, like temporal processing speed, hand-eye coordination, reaction time, that kind of stuff.
And those improvements are, those functional vision improvements are a combo platter.
And I always like to say it's the ABCs, it's macular pigment, like because of their antioxidant properties, plus the fact that these nutrients are amazingly yellow and they absorb blue light.
So A, antioxidant, B, blue light absorption equals C, better contrast sensitivity and functional vision.
So-
