County contractor abatement work prices vary depending on the work type completed.
On July 2nd, the county filed the assessment report of all costs associated with abatement for 14 of the 94 listed parcels in the program.
Due to timing delays in the county's inspection and processing of re-abatement cases, only 14 properties have completed the process in time to be included in this year's lien assessment.
The remaining properties will be considered for assessment through the 2027 annual lien assessment process as applicable.
This hearing will consider approval of lien assessment and collection of fees on those properties, including any incurred costs for the county to abate the nuisance.
On July 9th, the city mailed the notice and report to those property owners listed on the report, along with tonight's public hearing notice.
The action before you this evening is to conduct the hearing objections from property owners for assessed fees and consider adopting resolution number 26-086, approving the lien assessment and collection of fees for weeds and brush to allow the county to recover those costs for abatement.
