A woman has come forward to accuse former California Democratic Congressman Eric Swalwell of sexual assault.

Lana Drews alleges Swalwell raped her in 2018.

She alleged he drugged her drink.

Drew says she did not file a police report at the time and did not undergo a rape kit test.

She says she is now filing a complaint.

Swalwell has vehemently rejected accusations of sexual assault and sexual misconduct by multiple women.

He has dropped his bid for California governor.

He resigned yesterday from Congress.

Separately, Texas Republican Representative Tony Gonzalez also resigned from Congress yesterday.

He admitted to an affair with a staffer.

After the affair started, the woman died by suicide.

Members of the far-right extremist groups, the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers are celebrating.

The Justice Department has moved to vacate their convictions for a seditious conspiracy against the United States.
