So self-compassion, you know, it's means how do we relate to our suffering?
And suffering is like
It's endless.
And so there are more and more applications of self compassion.
So I mean I I do research, but I've I've really been into training.
Like how do we help people learn to be more self compassionate?
So I've developed programs
you know, for for regular people, also for healthcare workers, um, parents of special needs kids, um, you know, educators, uh, athletes, basically you name it, if you're a r a human being, then you suffer, but you know, your sufferer suffering might take a different form depending on who you are.
And so I'm I'm really excited about tailoring the practice of self compassion to help people
Um, really when they when they need it most.
Yeah, yeah.
So there's a pretty big literature now showing that, you know, so so you know, self esteem is a source of self worth.
If you define self esteem as like judging yourself positively or good.
And if you do that th then it's a sense of self worth.
But when you fail, you have no more self worth.
Whereas self compassion is an unconditional source of self worth.
It's not about judging yourself positively, it's just acknowledging that you're a human being doing the best you can like everyone else.
So it's it's really you don't have to earn self compassion.
It comes simply from the fact that you're a human being.
And so for that reason, it's much more stable over time.
