And that's why it's such a terrifying moment in terms of the likely escalation that we face, I think, as soon as this weekend.

We know that they sent some sort of a new ceasefire deal to Iran via the Iraqi prime minister, and Iran said no.

We spoke with Professor Morandi on our show to get the view from Tehran.

He said, listen.

First of all, no one is in the mood for negotiations right now because why would we be?

Every time we've negotiated with the U.S., we've either been attacked or they've undermined the deal.

So no one is in the mood for negotiations.

But if we get to that point, it's going to require a lot more negotiations

than was in the memo of understanding.

It won't just include Lebanon, by the way, it will also include Yemen and Gaza.

So that's the frame of mind that they're in.

So I was not surprised at all to see that they had out of hand, outright rejected this latest ceasefire deal offer.

So what choice does that leave Trump with?

I think that's why, even though in past instances where he's issued these insane threats, I've suspected that he would end up tacoing in the end.

That's why this time I'm more concerned that we're going to see the actual threatened escalation come to pass.

Yeah.

And I mean, the the nuclear pieces is, I guess you could look at it in two directions.

In some ways, the logic of pursuing a nuclear weapon has never been more clear.

You know, these people are maniacs.

They'll just keep attacking you.
