You're going to notice a pattern.
And when you are in your follicular phase, when you are pre-ovulation, you'll notice that the temperatures are kind of in this consistent range, 97.3, 97.4.
It's a very tight range.
And you'll see it kind of just moving and moving.
And then after ovulation...
Like I mentioned earlier, progesterone takes over as the dominant hormone.
Progesterone literally heats up our body.
And progesterone cannot be produced unless ovulation has occurred.
It is impossible for us.
We don't produce progesterone until we've ovulated.
And so it is this very clear sign that you will see in your temp charts.
You got your little temps.
And then suddenly you'll see a spike in the temperature.
And then not only will it spike, but it's going to remain spiked.
And so...
You're going to see the spike.
It's called your thermal shift.
And then after that, until your period comes, those temperatures should remain in that higher range where it's going to be like 98, 98.3.
It's going to consistently start climbing and climbing.
And this is actually a great indicator of your progesterone levels because our progesterone is a very important hormone in our luteal phase.
