So I think I was searching for the reason I chose time rich, like financially independent, time rich, was to achieve something that was, look, this is what you actually get to and then you choose to
It's the systemic person in me.
I want an umbrella term that all the other ones fit under.
And I thought time rich worked.
I hope that it helps people who thought, oh, retiring early is not for me, still consider financial independence.
That's what I'm trying to achieve with all that.
That sort of renaming is people don't just hear the retire early bit and write it off.
They go, oh, time rich.
I could do that and actually start learning about it and get interested in their money.
That's what I'm trying to get to.
Yeah, exactly.
And finding that alternative.
I feel like we get, or a lot of people get stuck to a grindstone sort of feeling.
And of course, when you have children, it actually gets worse because you've got so much else to keep you busy.
You're kind of like, I'll just keep going on autopilot with work.
And it would be really disappointing to wake up in a couple of decades' time and be like, ah, I really wish I'd designed that better.
Because you can design it better.
And I guess that's the other thing is our mainstream narrative is work till you're in your mid to late 60s and then retire.
And it's just not feasible so much for people as well.
I also get quite concerned about young people's ability to earn a sustainable income that allows them to do that, you know.
