It asks you not to parent what you think your child should be, but to parent the child in front of you and to meet them where they are.
And I think that's been such a gift all three of you, you know, have given to us.
And there's been so much trial and error within this.
Like, you know, there's, I mean, there's plenty of times where, and I think people love to hear when I've totally messed up as a parent.
I don't know if I should ask you this question.
I'm like, okay, share all the tea on when I totally messed
But there's been times, there's been things where I've lost it because you do, you're human and I've yelled or I've like, you know, just been like, no.
I remember one time, Tali, I don't know if you remember this, you were little and you had all these feelings going on and I was just like done.
I had nothing left.
Like I was just kind of like, oh my God, I just don't want you to just, I'm just like over it.
And I remember turning to you and saying, do you want some chocolate?
Like I was trying to bribe you with sugar to stop just having feelings.
And you look at me and you said, I don't want sugar.
I want you to listen to my feelings.
And I was like, oh my God, I've created a monster.
But it was so beautiful and it made me laugh so much I was able to kind of drop into it.
But I think you brought out this really be present with me because that's what we're trying to do.
Yet it was confronting at times.
And that's things that I say to parents all the time.
We're not superhuman.
