Because we haven't seen that evidence.

Over the last few years, I've done lots and lots of different parenting courses and sometimes my kids have jumped in on the calls or we've had a bit of Q&A with some of the people on my courses.

And they've absolutely loved it.

I think my kids have enjoyed it, but also the other parents have really loved asking them questions and just being curious around what it is to be a young adult these days and also being raised in these environments.

So that's why I wanted to do this podcast today, to create an opportunity to have a chat with two of my beautiful kiddos, but also just to, I think,

Give people who have young kids a bit of an idea of, you know, the long game in this picture.

And I often talk about parenting as a long game.

You know, we know that sometimes when we want our kids to do something, a bit of bribery might work in that moment or, you know, we might come down hard on them if they've done something wrong and it might stop that behavior.

But parenting is a long game.

It's about the long relationship that we're creating.

Now, I just want to also say at the top of this episode, this is not a we have it perfect, I'm a perfect mother, my kids are perfect.

There is no perfect.

And there is a high chance that my kids may throw me under the bus in this episode.

And I want them to be real and I want them to be human because there have been plenty of times that I have messed up.

And the whole idea of this podcast actually really is just to –

But also to, I think, help people, adults understand, you know, that when we are raising our kids with kindness, but loving firm boundaries, but also, you know, doing our own inner work, then we can raise children into adults who are emotionally aware and connected, you know, and bring that beautiful love and connection as a family still.

in into our adult years so that is that is the mission behind this i have no idea how this is going to go it's a bit of a vulnerable place for me to sit in but i am so excited to have two of my beautiful beautiful children with me today hello darlings
