We've talked to a bunch of you on a resolution to extend the moratorium on certificate renewal requirements to prevent abandonment of certificates.

I had a nice conversation with Anika, your county attorney who works on this, and hopefully she's already working on it, she said, and maybe could even bring it back at the next meeting if you all direct her.

Why do we need this?

Why is it in the public interest?

Because the taxi industry, as Joe has just told you,

is rebounding with all kinds of innovative ideas and new work.

One, the TOPS program, the overflow, the emergencies with TOPS, 24-7 dispatch, and lots more to come with the TOPS program, as I've been talking to Paul Strobus about utilizing taxis in the TOPS program.

So again, a public interest, a reason why we need all those certificates, the late night shift program,

is another great program that we're doing with Broward County, overflowing with Uber and Lyft.

When people get stranded, they call taxis and we pick them up.

It incentivizes, continuing with the public interest, it would incentivize reinvestment in more technology, digital terminals, all the body shops and all the good things that they're doing.

E, it would give more wheelchairs.

Yellow Cab is the only, none of the TNCs, none of the other taxi companies have wheelchairs.
