Yes, I uh the one uh clarity and I'd defer to the city attorney is that the the actual acceptance and creation of a competition period would be a I believe a resolution.
So we'd either need to walk on an item tonight or prepare it for the next meeting.
No, what we do is we take it and we we put it in escrow or put it in account holding an account until we get direction from the city commission on expending it.

So we we did space planning analysis as part of the joint government uh complex and then we've done some informal things just internally of uh kind of centralizing departments, especially the standalone departments and bringing them into a central city hall.
the informal stuff is ongoing.
Um I would say that probably at the end of twenty twenty four, early twenty twenty five is when we uh did the the last update on on that.
The three fifty came from the ULI study and that was the recommendation.
What we did is we went back and looked at our information.
The uh the old city hall had about three hundred and fifty employees based out of it.
We looked at centralization efforts of development services, uh some public works, CRA, transportation mobility, and some uh remote space that Office of Management Budget had.
That added another
three hundred and fifty plus employees to get you somewhere around the eight hundred number.
The old city hall was uh a hundred thousand square feet uh and that equated to about sixty two thousand s uh usable square feet.
So part of our initial space planning had some of those services getting centralized so that way there'd be a central service kiosk for a lot of the public facing entities.
Yeah, and and it took into consideration some of the the elements that Commissioner Herbst hit on of of hotel space or common use desks, things like that.
Um but yes.
I think a good illustration is what we talked about with the water treatment plan earlier today.
Uh so the answer would be yes.
I think from a general perspective, um the the public side we go through our our our procurement processes and and regulations and requirements that we need to do that sometimes the private side doesn't have to do those things.
