Like he extends a ton.
And it's not just that he extends a ton.
He extends a ton relative to his height, which is something I think a lot of people miss.
The average pitcher is somewhere between like, the weird way to put it, but like zero to 15% of their height.
So if you're like...
six, five, like we kind of expect your extension to be, you know, 6.7, 6.8 ish feet.
And if you push it, even if you push into like seven feet, that's not necessarily too outliery, but Eric Getty grant, Taylor's another one.
There's a couple other guys, Louis Varlin actually on the blue Jays is a good example too.
He's like six foot and he extends up to seven feet.
Those guys like,
often present some difficulty from what they can do with the ball.
Because if you think about like how extended and how like stretched you have to be to be at 7.4 feet of extension with only six foot two on your height is like kind of insane.
And I've talked to someone who used to work for the
the Astros about him.
And like they, the Astros did a really good job, like getting him to a point where he can actually manipulate the ball.
Like I would generally think if you're that far, like extended out in front of your face, when you're releasing and down and stretched, it's often hard to like get on the side of the ball, but he does a pretty good job creating some reasonable sweeper shapes.
They're not thrown hard and he's curve balls, not hard either.
It's like an 80 mile per hour window, but it's a good pitch.
