We dropped as low as 12 games under 500 at some point in August.

So even after the trade deadline, I think Randy Wolf was released, a veteran pitcher, other guys.

There was a lot of shifting moving around, some guys coming up from the minor leagues.

And then eventually...

there was this exhale moment of, like, all right, no one's expecting anything out of us.

And we just went on this run where I believe, in all honesty, if the playoffs are the way they are now, we may have made, like, a last wildcard slot.

Right.

So, like, we...

went off at some point and for whatever reason we shouldn't have, but it was, it was a good team with a good base that everyone was expecting us to do something good again, like 2011, the pressure was there the whole season and it just didn't happen.

And eventually when the pressure was off, it seemed like we had this exhale moment and then we,

went on this run that we came very close to making this, you know, maybe a couple games out of making a final wildcard spot where if the playoffs are now, we would have made that final wildcard spot sort of thing.

But we would have been left there without Randy Wolfe, veteran pitcher.

Without Zach Greinke, we would have been with a bunch of

young rookies that had never played in the playoffs before, so who knows what would have happened.

But looking at that through that viewpoint with the Jays right now, that's what I'm hoping isn't going to happen, where they're like, okay, we just got to sell off some pieces, and then you go on a run because this team should go on a run.

With the pieces that they have, the team that is there shouldn't be –

I don't want to use the word bad, but they shouldn't be where they are right now in the standings.

They should be better.

So they should have the guys to do it.

But if you get rid of some of them, what happens then?
