I mean, there's still a couple teams ahead of them before they even get into that third spot.

That's just the way the AL is kind of shaking out.

You don't want to end up being four games back from that last spot and four teams are in front of you.

Now you're all battling to try and get guys, get those last couple spots, whatever it may be.

So, I mean, they're within striking distance.

If they have a shot at getting someone with immediate impact, especially offensively, it seems like if something can help them out that way, you take it.

Especially, I think, even at three games back, you do what you can to make that jump.

But if it's someone that's not going to be as impactful, I don't know if that is the trade that you're making right now when you're three games back.

If you're one, if you're just out of it, a few pieces here and there can help you.

But if you need that big impact, you do it.

I think when you're about three.

Three games is probably the max.

I think you get what you can, and if it's pieces along the way, if you find the starting pitcher that you want...

and that's added, you can still find that impact offensive player at some point as well.

And maybe one helps the other, or maybe one doesn't help the other with whatever trades and whatever pieces you have to give away.
