So I found when I was in my disease, I was crippled by a thousand forms of fear.
I was just constantly scared that I wasn't going to get what I wanted or I was going to lose what I had.
And I was scared to even make art.
At the time, I was a barely working comedy actress.
So I was doing sitcoms and commercials, but my life was 90% auditions and
95% rejection, you know, because you're just like going in there multiple times a week, you know, with 12 pages of sides and scripts, you know, auditioning.
And then they're just like, thanks for coming in.
And you're just like, but I just got two words out.
And they're like, thanks for coming in.
You know, and it's like, that's your life.
But I was so nervous to make my own stuff.
What I really wanted to do was like direct and write and do characters and tell my own stories.
And I was so scared to put myself out there.
Because if I was in a bad sitcom, it's not my fault.
It's not my sitcom.
I'm not why it got canceled.
So it was very low pressure for me to be in other people's stuff.
