My job is to stay humble, to say, I'm not better than, I'm not less than, you know, before I got sober, I was either grandiose or comatose.
I was either the hottest ever, or I should kill myself.
There was no like just right sized worker among worker, you know?
And then I learned to
Simple things like when I wake up in the morning, I try and ask when I do my prayer meditation, what can I give today rather than what can I get?
Like even on the plane right here, I'm like, how can I be of service to them and hopefully maybe help someone through sharing my story?
It's not about what I can get.
It's about what I can give.
And ironically, when I do that, I end up getting, I get fulfillment.
I feel full and whole because my life has purpose.
So I ask, like, how can I be a better mom, a better friend, a better artist?
But gratitude, love that too.
To just like get grateful, even just like a roof over our head, like how lucky are we that we have running water and...
Yeah.
I mean, I think it's, I think it's a mindset, you know, of course there's like philanthropic causes that I'm interested in, but it's also just like, how can you give to, it's a service mindset.
So, right.
So it's like, how can I give to my kids today?
Well, I can be present with them, ask them questions to get to know them more, like give them a fun experience or just make them feel loved and safe and like an extra long hug or whatever.
Or, you know, calling a friend and asking, how are you?
Not, oh, and then this happens and then me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me.
