You know, he didn't know he did and he didn't mean to.

And I think he would have been horrified if he realized it, because he certainly wasn't a sort of intellectual person or someone who valued questioning too deeply.

But he gave me that and I'm grateful for it.

I think a kind of a stubbornness, an obsessiveness about certain things.

And also, you know, one could argue that trying to control everything by being, you know, obliterated all the time is sort of comparable to trying to control everything by never allowing yourself to imbibe something that will slip your control.

You know, so I may be too attached to feeling in control all the time because I grew up around...

my father and other people who just never seemed to have any when it was needed.

So, yeah, there are qualities in him that I see in myself and I don't necessarily love.

But of course, he's in there, you know, and that's not something I can run away from.
