I kind of see two things happening here though.

I think, I don't know this person so I'm not going to speak indefinites, but from this perspective, from this email, I see someone who is a domestic abuser and is an addict.

I can't speak, you know, about this person and why they got there.

I really want to focus on your perspective because you're the one who's emailing.

But I will say that you're the victim of both.

And some people are.

I don't think addiction...

comes from ego i think i look at it differently than that i think addiction is separate to being an abuser and abuse and control can come from ego addiction can come from trauma and honestly so can ego like i of course like i said i wouldn't do the job i do if i don't think people can change and if i didn't think that harmful behavior is abuse

addiction, all of it was born in us.

You know, I think we come into this world one way and its impacts has a rollercoaster effect.

And I've been the child in this situation.

I've been the person on the other side.

I've been the person on the other side of abuse from someone who's an addict.

And I think it's a very important topic because I also would have experienced continued control or abuse

After quote unquote recovery, because you mentioned the word accountability and accountability is such a big part of recovery.

I'm sure you can speak to that yourself, you know.

So if there isn't accountability, then what you have there is someone who is on the other side of maybe addiction, maybe doesn't gamble anymore, doesn't drink.

but absolutely not healed in any way shape or form or like you know if the abuse is still continuing that is it seems like a separate issue and I think the reason why we see both so frequently is because absolutely drugs do alter the way our brains work but you're speaking about someone who isn't on drugs when he's doing some of these behaviours so I think that's important to note and I'm really sorry as well that you think you know that there isn't a voice for you and
