So they do end up with either a voucher or money in the bank, but how much someone's reimbursed really depends on their commitment.
So some of these trials are really lengthy.
They take years.
And really the more time and commitment you put into taking part in the trial, the more reimbursement you may end up with.
So there's a whole range of adverse events that someone can experience from taking a drug.
And I will say is you're spot on as drugs are rolled out, especially in the bigger stages.
So like we're talking stage three, stage four into big populations.
We expect to see rare side effects.
There's no drug that has zero potential side effects.
It's taken seriously and monitored closely.
If we are coming out with adverse events or side effects in those earlier stages, the trial may be scrapped.
The trial may be paused.
The trial may be redesigned to make sure that participants are safe.
But Australia has a really, really good track record with this sort of stuff.
