Also, I heard from street vendors specifically that we should not apply one size fit all system approach.

So at our public hearing,

They shouldn't face the same regulatory burden as food vendors because they don't have to go through this whole public health requirements that food trucks would have to.

So we need to ensure that our enforcement approach is not disproportionately impacting the very entrepreneurs that we are saying that we want to support.

So what I would like to see is having a pathway for creatives and for artists that is not as stringent as those who are operating in some sort of food space.

And clear distinction between artists and who are going to be doing some sort of food truck business.

Also,

I'm just, let me, because I didn't, I took notes when I attended the meetings.

I want to make sure I got everything.

And also we need an enforcement approach that prioritizes fairness as well as compliance.

Knowing that we don't have additional heads to do permitting process, I think having that option of issuing a misdemeanor shouldn't be the first solution that we should consider because I do believe that if we expand our permitting process where it's streamlined, where we have dedicated team just working on that, we can clearly have more compliance.

And rather than just going this enforcement route, especially the criminal penalty option, because there were a few street vendors that talked about how criminal penalty could end up affecting other parts of their life.

So I think we need to take that very seriously because that will not be the level playing field in my perspective.

And that's all I have.

You bring back to the committee with all the answers because we need answers in order to take the next step so that the committee's prepared to take the next step.
