You have had judges try to hold the administration in contempt for violating their court orders.

You have had judges clearly pronounce you administration have violated my court order.

Then what happens when the Trump administration rushes those cases off to the United States Supreme Court?

The Supreme Court blocks the lower court orders.

rewards the government's defiance of those lower court orders by telling the government you don't have to continue to comply with the lower court order.

So I think this is a situation of the Supreme Court and the Trump administration versus the lower federal courts.

And again, that's part of what makes the decision on nationwide injunctions so problematic is the Supreme Court basically told the lower courts,

We are going to take away one of your most powerful tools for reigning in the Trump administration.

And we, Supreme Court, are going to insist that it's all up to us.

And we know what that means.
