And it's actually gotten worse as I've gone into perimenopause.
I think a lot of things have gotten worse.
The OCD brain, I mean, I've never been actually diagnosed with OCD, although I have very obsessive thinking sometimes.
obsessive anxiety uh and it and again i think that kind of goes back to a trauma response of when so many things in my life have been so out of control whether it be family as at a young age or you know being in the public eye in my job um for so long like i need to be able to control
my environment to some degree yeah and i think because um when we start losing all of those hormones it gets it gets louder so i think you know i've and i've been doing a lot of trauma work as you know we can get into this but um i've been doing i took i think a break because i've done so much work on myself yeah and i think i took a few years of a break where i
just needed to live and like not work on things and then you introduced me um to frank and um frank anderson who i absolutely adore he's amazing he is the sweetest person ever and i have really started to dive back into a lot of my trauma with him and so i think it's opening up a lot of
a lot of wounds.
And so yeah, it's been really loud.
In the past, I've not known where it's coming from sometimes.
And now in perimenopause, I'm pretty clear about what's going on and where my anxiety is coming from.
Where's it coming from?
Well, from lack of progesterone, when my hormones are out of balance, when I haven't gotten enough sleep from lack of progesterone.
I have context around it, I think, now.
To me, the anxiety can show up differently
especially when I haven't slept or if I am really low on progesterone, my body gets anxious.
So there's like a buzzing that happens underneath, you know, skin that becomes more body anxiety than, than worry anxiety.
That's actually a good,
If I think about it, my anxiety in the past has been more worry anxiety where I couldn't control things and I was really afraid of, like, you know, from, again, a trauma response of things going wrong and that I couldn't, like – I couldn't handle –
I couldn't handle more pain.
I've been through enough pain.
