And I think a lot of the fight back will come over the valuations.

You know, what's to say the house is worth one and a half million pounds?

And actually, no, it's not.

It's worth £1.45 million.

Do you base it just on a crude inflation calculator?

Do you say that a house that was bought for £750,000 20 years ago is now worth £1.5 million because that's what an inflation calculator spits out?

There's going to be a lot of fight back over this.

And I don't know what it's going to do to house prices either, because if you are someone that's ever tried to sell a house over one and a half million pounds or two million pounds, it takes a certain kind of buyer.

You know, these types of property stay on the market typically longer than any other property type.

And it takes a chain of buyers on the whole to make this move happen.

And people that are selling a kind of third or fourth home in the ladder are looking for homes that are potentially one and a half million pounds plus because they've outgrown whatever house they're in.

It might put them off and we don't know what damage that might do further down the line.

And listen, you might be listening to this saying, actually, I really back this move.

You think this is a good move?

You think the people that are in £1.5 million houses or tiny violin time, you can afford to fork out £2,500 extra every year, or you can afford to fork out £7,500 extra every year.

For me, I wholeheartedly disagree with it.

And whether or not Labour win the next general election, it might not even be around for that long.

Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if this is a sort of tax that ends up getting canned.

But as I said right at the start, council tax does need some reform.
