They brought in three starting pitchers.
They brought in Ryan Zephyrjohns.
Tyrone Taylor is a nice fourth outfielder, just as a little icing on top of the cake.
But the Cubs improved a lot.
The Brewers, it seems like they are unwilling to move those top prospects.
And I understand there are differences.
The Brewers can't operate the same way the Dodgers do because of their finances.
But at some point, you have to push chips into the table.
A little bit less so for the Rays, who did bring in Luis Castillo.
They did bring in Liam Hicks, and hey, he hit a grand slam in his first game with them, so maybe I'm an idiot.
But I just don't think that those are like urgency moves, especially when the Yankees are going to be getting Aaron Judge back and Cody Bellinger back and Giancarlo Stanton back.
And I also thought the Braves needed an extra starter, but they did try to trade for Jacob deGrom.
He invoked his no-trade clause, so I can't rip them too hard for that.
But there were other starting pitchers available, and I kind of think they needed one.
Yeah, we can't be getting too much sun on the ribs.
