from Leicester to Man Utd although obviously Leicester fans will point out the league table would suggest perhaps it's not a step up in quality but he's I would be a huge backer of Maguire being in the 2021 team of the season in the Premier League next season I think he just seems to be growing into that role at Manchester United and I can see United improving again next year and I think just the way he's finished this season
say finish the season but finish the last played in the last two months is has been pretty impressive I think and he's only gonna gonna get better and I think he'll turn into a yeah a real mainstay and an important part of that Manchester United team as they continue to rise up the league I think next season okay well we've got decisions to make guys I was gonna put forward the case for Gomez but I feel like Ron's shot me down with his stat about him not starting so was it starting what just one game before December yeah he I think he was I think he started the opening game of the season then he was out for ages and um
I think that's one of the – during these times of lockdown, you sort of gain perspective on some of the things that you miss and you really enjoy doing.
I think we've all had those periods that we sort of – what's the word I'm looking for?
Prioritise things that we really love doing.
And one of the things I've missed actually is watching – I'll get to my point eventually.
One of the things I've missed watching is Kevin De Boer in a play football
And I can't wait for that first day back where I get to do a Manchester City match and get to see him sort of strutting his stuff and gracefully bossing Premier League matches again.
Because he is just an artist on the football pitches and he's an absolute joy to watch.
So yeah, he would be an absolute certainty in my team without a doubt.
I think we need a player that can sit in front of a, if we're going to play a back four, we probably need one player to be able to sit in front of that.
The two as the fullbacks fly forward.
So the perfect man for that job, in my opinion, and someone that doesn't get much credit or adulation really is Wilfred Ndidi from Leicester, who is probably the most important cog in the Leicester machine in terms of the way that he breaks up playing midfield and,
and wins the ball back and starts those counterattacks that Jamie Vardy can feed on.
His stats have been pretty outrageous for the key metrics that you're looking for for a defensive midfielder.
He tops the Premier League stats charts for midfielders with the most tackles and interceptions, and that's per 90 minutes.
And if he didn't get injured over Christmas and miss, I think it was, it might have been six or seven games, then
I would be certain that he'd be in the running for player of the year this year because I think Leicester would have been probably 10 or 12 points better off if he stayed fit during that period he missed.
And just to sort of back that thought up, in the 20 games with him, Leicester's win percent was 65%.
And in the nine games without him, that dropped to 33%.
