So I've lived in Dunedin, Otupoti, Dunedin for 22 years.

and have just really enjoyed what Dunedin has to offer, have had the privilege of this place in terms of an environment to raise our two daughters in this town.

So that's been the beauty of Dunedin.

It's such a fabulous place to live and to be able to professionally do what I do here is just, yeah, it's a privilege.

Yeah, so professionally, I'm a civil engineer by training.

And so my job as landfill engineer with Dunedin City Council is to look after all of the technical aspects, all of the engineering, all of the environmental aspects of the landfill operation.

So I get involved with the placement of the waste, all of those elements.

And ultimately, I think if you were to ask me the purpose of my job, the purpose of my job is to keep the environment safe and to keep people safe.

So, I mean, in a really simplistic sense, professionally, that just is a really good thing to have purpose for me.

And it's a way to also just give back to our community in terms of the environment and the people.

No, is the answer.

And I think you did right, Lisa.

It's not a very visible thing.

It's not a very conscious thing.

It's really essential for our community.

So it's an essential infrastructure, I suppose, and regionally significant infrastructure.

But it's not something that a lot of people are conscious of and really understand the role that landfills play.

I think I got into it just through my career having been in infrastructure engineering and environmental.
