I might fail at something and I'm going to have to be prepared that that's going to happen.

But that feeling of I've learned something new and I haven't stopped growing and I don't know what comes next, but I'm open to opportunities.

So I've never sort of thought about it in an age sense.

I mean, certainly our kids are out of home now.

Pete and I are empty nesters.

What's that like?

Oh, it's fabulous.

I'm not there yet.

I've got quite a few years.

It's so good.

Love my children dearly and so incredibly proud of them.

But, I mean, you feel like you've probably achieved what you set out to do as a parent when they leave home and they establish their own lives because...

If they don't do that, it's just like, what did I do wrong?

Make no mistake, that is a shattering stage to go through.

Don't feel like you're exceptional or failing if that's how you feel.

I mean, every stage of parenting...

has its unique challenges.

And you think about the things that are challenging in this stage and you think, well, at least they won't be doing that anymore.

But then they're doing something else.
