I think another um interesting thing is that people be like, oh, well, you know, it's the patients that are like.
Asking for these things, or like it's you know, this other thing, it's it's never it's never ourselves, you know, but which is interesting.
And I think actually that was something that was really illuminating to me during my PhD studies, where I was like, wow, actually, like the words that I say as a doctor has a huge influence on on how you know, obviously, framing and everything.
And and so I think that like
There's oftentimes a way to be like, oh, well, you know, I'm just this like, you know, I tried to do all this stuff.

And and and in some ways what I'm saying in the uh paper is that yes, you are sort of like a little pawn in the system, but but there are ways that I think as as people who are who make up the system, you know, the system is in comprised of people that we can maybe do things to try to
alleviate the sit uh to improve the situation.
Um, maybe not as an attending on a clinical service, but maybe on a broader level.
So one of the first questions that I would ask, I would ask them like, you know, what are the policies that you know you have for ICU admission?
And people actually wouldn't necessarily have a sense of exactly what the policy is like.
How many of us actually know what the policies are of our institution?
In fact, I tried to like find UCSF's policy, and it took a really long time to try to find it, and it was very difficult.
