Oh, wow.
That's so funny that Stevie says that because it's something that matters to me a lot.
That when you're singing, it's not all about you.
It's about telling the story.
And I think singers can be hyper aware of how their face looks or what they're doing with their hands, and they can overthink it.
But to me, if you just focus on the lyrics, it's going to come out in the most authentic way.
And I think doing too much like too much showing off can actually cloud the story and your ability to touch people.
So that's something I think is really important and something I think, you know, young singers should should think about.
Yeah, that was a huge turning point for me.
It's so funny, I feel like the pattern in my life are becoming friends with someone who actually forces me to sing in a public way.
So I was going to school at Berklee College of Music,
And I became friends with Chris Collins, who's a wonderful pianist, songwriter, singer, artist.
And he I think he heard me singing in a talent show and he said, we need to post videos on YouTube.
We're going to go to the practice rooms and we're going to post covers.
And and so, you know, I thought, OK, let's do it.
He's the one that's next to me.
And we just set up the laptop.
I think we filmed in photo booth and it was a time where there weren't a lot of YouTube covers.
Um, and, uh, yeah, so we filmed a bunch of videos in that practice room at Berkeley and that, uh, changed the trajectory for me because it got the attention of, um, Neo's production company.
