And over COVID, I had a lot of friends where their brand deals kind of dried up.
And then around the same time, Patreon raised that $4 billion valuation.
And I was like, holy shit, there's probably something here.
And I looked at monetization tools they had, and it was pretty bare bones at the time.
Sorry, Patreon, you guys have done a really good job improving.

When I look at what tech companies to build, I think that the best tech companies are when there's a stagnant product that's lacking innovation.
