Authorities have identified a second case of the deadly H5N1 bird flu strain as the country's largest poultry producer locks down its Western Australian operations.
Officials have been on alert for the H5 strain, which kills birds rapidly and is easily transmitted between them.

On Saturday, Agriculture Minister Julie Collins announced the strain has now reached the mainland after a brown skua tested positive for H5 bird flu in remote southeast WA.
A second case has since been detected in a northern giant petrel near where the virus was first found.
Collins told reporters there's no evidence of mass mortalities among birds to date as officials work to determine the scale of the outbreak.
Despite there being no detections in commercial poultry, major chicken producer Ingham's has announced a complete lockdown of its WA farming and processing operations, quote, to mitigate against any potential risks.
Dozens of drones have been shot down in Moscow, with flights briefly suspended in the Russian capital, according to local authorities.
It comes just days after Ukraine hit the city's oil refinery.
In a post to Telegram, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said nearly 60 drones heading for Moscow were downed in the early hours of Monday.
Sobyanin did not provide further details, adding that emergency services had been dispatched to areas where drones were downed.
