So I am looking at the Bears cap situation right now.

And it's not great.

And they have $8.1 million in cap space.

And that's not enough to sign an impact player.

Now, I'm sure there are some tricks that they can do to create some cap space.

But you really don't want to push too much cap space.

into the future because you're going to have to extend Darnell Wright.

You hopefully have to extend Caleb Williams next year.

Maybe Roma Duse has a breakout year and then you're going to want to have to extend him.

So you don't want to start doing the thing where you have to rob Peter to pay Paul down the line.

So I hate saying this because I really want them to make a move.

I wonder if they're better off just standing for now and then maybe when the trade deadline comes, then that's when you make your splash.

He's got to be healthy.

That's the key.

He wasn't healthy last year.

And look, I admire his gumption to get back into the lineup, get back into playing shape, but he just never looked the same when he was playing.

So I would like to see him have a healthy camp, have a healthy...

because I don't love the options behind him.

I'm intrigued.
