I was still bottling everything, packaging, labeling, sealing them into boxes, putting the shipping label on there.

I was also communicating with all of the moms through Etsy.

So what I would typically do was go through kind of a whole litany of things that they could be doing to help them to increase their milk supply before we would even talk about the product.

So I was almost like...

Troubleshooting, customer service.

Educating.

Lactation education, and then also helping with the products.

So I didn't sleep for the first year.

I worked probably until about 2 or 3 in the morning every night helping moms, connecting with moms.

And then I would wake up at 7 with the baby and do it all over again.

So I do not recommend that.

You will get stretched very thin, very quickly.

That's where burnout will happen, absolutely.

But I felt like I was just called to do this and it was something I was so passionate about.

And in that process, I connected with so many other moms who were going through it as well.

And I realized, oh, this isn't isolated to just me.

Something that is much more chronic and serious than we probably talk about because a decade ago, social media wasn't what it is now.

People weren't connecting on the same level that they can now.

So it was pretty amazing to create that community early on.
