I don't think it is looked at differently in terms of identifying the behaviours, but the way that it's applied at law is different, right?

And so section four, capital A, Capital B of the Family Law Act sets out in the definitions some ex some examples of coercive control and they're very helpful.

But people might think that if they're not in that list then it's not

Not really coercive control.

And then of course, once you establish that it is coercive control and the court accepts that you've been in a coercively controlling relationship, then many consequences flow from that.

And because coercive control is family violence, it impacts on time the children can spend with the controlling person.

And in property,

The court looks at whether that coercive c control impacted you so much during the relationship that your contributions were made harder or more arduous, the court says.

And then of course, then they look into your current and future circumstances and see what impact the coercive control has had on you in your maybe your career or any ongoing psychological injuries.

So it's there.

And I'm I know it's hard for the court.

It's tricky for the court.

And I I'm really proud that they're trying to do this.

And I know all the judges are intensively trained.
