And that's where I'm coming from.
It's acknowledging differences from a place of inclusion so we can find a solution that we include.
What I oppose are people who start that conversation from a place of exclusion because they want to point out those differences as reasons to keep people out.
So I think when it comes to trans athletes and gender in general, you know, you start with the political because that's where it's originated from.
It didn't originate from, you know, this threshold of athletes that we
we've seen on televisions, right?
But from the comics and the laws being passed.
And then it moves to what's fair.
And fair is about inclusion, not exclusion.
And so I'm for anything where there's the science saying perhaps we need more treatment for a longer period of time.
where there's creation of an open category that's completely fair and everyone has equal equality in terms of access to facilities and being able to be on air and celebrate like everyone else.
You know, if that's the solution, I support that.
But what I don't support are bans.
I don't think there's a single ban in sports, Don, that's worked out in terms of when we look back at history.
When we banned women from running in the Boston Marathon, that was just stupid.
When we ban, you know, athletes from being, you know, of color being in, you know, NCAA tournament, that's stupid.
And we recognize that now.
So I don't want us to be 50 years from now looking back going now, why did we do that when we had all these examples?
No, I much rather be on the right side of history and say, listen, we've done this multiple times before.
We figured it out in the past.
