But the ability to pay is a very important part of this industry.
Very little.
There are some differences from varying programs on this.
Now, some of them actually do have teachers and may have a decent educational approach.
The problem is that if you misbehave, which it's impossible not to misbehave because like looking out the window is an offense, looking at a boy is an offense.
The kids get held out of school for long periods of time in isolation rooms and other places.
So even if there is actually education available, it isn't available to everybody.
She has had an enormous impact.
One of the things that I hope to do with the book and that Katherine, who did the documentary, the program, had hoped to do was just simply to make it so that parents wouldn't feel pressured to send their kids.
Like when I wrote Help at Any Cost, nice upper middle class, higher class, whatever you want to call them, people thought that like if you didn't send your kid, you were a bad parent, like if your kid was in trouble.
It was seen as, you know, this is the best thing to do.
And if you don't do it, you are enabling the child or whatever.
So I just wanted parents to know that they don't have to do this and that this actually is enormously harmful for a lot of children and that there are better ways of dealing with various teenage problems.
I think Paris raised that awareness to a new level.
The legislation, unfortunately, doesn't really do anything.
It basically says we should study this, which again has been good on raising awareness, but we don't need to study this anymore.
We need to ban this.
We need to make sure that nobody is seeing emotional abuse and physical abuse as therapy.
get a good psychiatric diagnosis at the outset by somebody who is independent from any program.
