So there is like a lot to explore, I think.

And also in the process of kind of discovering my own identity, I was like looking at a lot of things that, like a lot of my books are basically personal projects and just things that I am curious about.

So rather than me being commissioned to do stuff, it normally just follows my lifestyle and just what I'm into at the time.

It is, it is actually.

And I don't think, and the other thing is I don't work in corporate Japan.

I don't work in an office environment.

Like, um, I don't have a Japanese boss, like my, all my editors, like, you know, like my, I'm kind of like a foreign correspondent.

So, um, so I'm working with like similarly minded people and like,

People who are really passionate about things I'm interested in, for example, print culture and also books as a medium.

This analog, the printed matter, the qualities of paper, the way that we absorb information through a book, the tactile sensation of paper, and just being part of a general book culture.

So, um, you know, so for me, my friends, if we go to like, like Jimbocha, the book district, um, it's, you do feel like you're part of something like part of a culture.

And, um, like, I'm not just like a random amoeba floating around just going, yeah, Japan's fun kind of thing.

Like I do feel involved in like, um, these kinds of cultures that, that, you know, like that exist here.

So, um, yeah.

So, you know, and Japan's not like, like in Australia, you can just make friends by walking around.

And, like, being a cool person.

So, and resident Japan, I kind of think you need to have, like, a hobby or an interest group to form a community.

And so whenever I have friends...

or like people coming to live here, I'm like it really helps to like have a hobby or like then you can, without a community, it's actually, I don't think Japan is a great place to live.

It's very, very difficult.
