You know, they have no benefit to working something out.

And basically, as a federal defense attorney, you're just carrying the casket.

You know, you're just helping making sure that the sentencing memorandum is done properly.

So you get all the reductions in points so that you minimize the exposure.

You go do your time.

So they're basically switching over as a result of that range from 55.

So if you're getting a sentence that they call it 10 to 20, you might do 10.

You do up to 20 is what it comes down to.

The federal system has caught up a little bit in that respect.

But at the end of the day, trying to fight that, unless you have really deep pockets – and you know this.

You've been through the process.

Unless you have really deep pockets to be able to fight all of the levels of scrutiny that you are associated with –

you're gonna end up going to jail for a pretty good chunk of time.

And they're not really coming after the day-to-day crimes that we see on a state level.

To go back to your mention of the difference between the state and the federal system, they're really going after the crimes that are gonna make the headlines and gonna make a big difference, Luigi Mangione and such.

because they're trying to use that as setting the example as the idea.
