So um I mentioned GeoVax and why that matters is a great example and all of my small market friends across the uh the country probably feel the same way.

We're growing not as a market for medicines, but as a place for companies and research, develop, manufacture, test, support, create jobs.

And we want companies to keep investing here and hiring here and partnering a policy environment that makes it harder to finance or scale.

can have consequences for that entire ecosystem.

It can be y you know, it can impact the you know, young people getting their first jobs out of school to

the investors even wanting to put a dollar into a good innovation.

So um and that's just gonna end up with companies picking up and moving to other markets.

I, you know, I over the last year I've had quite a few companies.

You know, do you know anyone I can talk to, they'd ask.

And I just wanna understand how to do business in the EU as I get through this wind and see where everything plays out and I have a bit more predictability in the in as to where things are going to be here in the States.

I don't think the choice is affordability versus innovation because we need both.

There's policy on paper and then when it comes into practice, we'll see how it rolls out.

But I think we're all cautiously optimistic.

It's the right um um uh d the right step forward.

Um I it's different every day, but uh the concern I most hear, I hear most consistently, it's not that companies oppose thoughtful national security protection.

So obviously we we want um good national security.

It's that the policy really needs to be targeted and clear and workable.
