We went home that night and Owen, our eldest, he was gone off with the soccer club for that day too, the Aviva.

So it was just us and our little guys and we had put them to bed and I remember just lying on the couch with them that night and we just cried.

We were terrified.

We didn't allow ourselves to feel like that for too long but we kind of indulged in that for that night.

Yeah it was fear of just the huge unknown and James was such a determined person that from the next day on he started researching options and that became like a full-time job for him nearly.

He would he was just sat at the laptop for ages and ages and we were

trying to find out where's the best place to go, what can we do.

We joined every support group going for cholangiocarcinoma.

There's a great one in England called the AMMF.

In America, it's called the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation.

We joined the Australian one as well.

They all have Facebook groups, but we noticed that there was nothing for Ireland.

And James had rang the Irish Cancer Society as well and said, look, is there any information on this?

And they said, there isn't much out there at the moment, to be honest with you.

We just felt like we were out in the dark on our own.

That's right, yeah.

So off you go home.
