It's called MSI high, and it means that your cancer has enough deformities that it should actually respond to immunotherapy.

So this was the first bit of good news that we'd had in a long time.

And we really clung to that.

So they were saying, look, we can treat that.

There's a bit of hope, yeah.

And they said there's this medicine, I think it was called Dervalumab, and that might work.

That's the type of immunotherapy that was recommended in Europe.

But in Ireland, the government wouldn't pay for that, for his type of cancer.

Only for lung cancers and other types.

It just wasn't licensed yet for this particular type of cancer.

And we tried everything to get them to kind of rush it through, but they don't rush anything through.

It was going to take about 18 months probably to get it agreed that it could be used for cholangiocarcinoma.

So just an incredibly frustrating time.

Yeah.

And he tried his best to get it for us on compassionate grounds.

And you find that you're going to the drug companies.

You just get so much more involved in all of that side of things.

But that takes time.

So much time.
