So we did it in a small rural clinic, um, you know, way up north in Berlin, New Hampshire.
Berlin, New Hampshire, and then down south in the urban center of Manchester, New Hampshire, and then you know, in in Hanover where Dartmouth was, which again was very rural.
And uh
We found that it was feasible.
People said, Oh, you know, the oncologists, you know, they're not gonna want their patients to do this.
And we actually had no conflicts with the oncologists.
They were all recommending patients come.
And so in a year and a half, we managed to um enroll like 380 patients.
And their family members.
The big problem was that we could not um get everybody to come to for the session.
And we felt committed for them to get the information and so we started calling them up and doing it one on one by phone.
And when this data uh we use as our preliminary data for what became enable two.
Um
We decided why go through that hassle of trying to get people there?
We'll just do it by phone.
And that's when we converted to um a phone based intervention.
We had such a thing as called the palliative care consult team.
And so then we started having them meet the consult team to do that initial assessment and then go through um uh the rest of the sessions by phone.
Uh so it was just um either a nurse practitioner or uh board certified um physician that what did the initial intro.
Um but you know there were others available if they um it seemed like a need.
