Yeah.
Initially when I went down, I was only down there for about an hour and a half, I'd say, all told.
And then I went back up because there was nothing more.
The police were really wanting to get people out.
You know, you didn't want to be a a nuisance.
Um and so I went back up and I did some radio stuff and whatever.
But then I went back down that afternoon.
And you know, Paul's that you could you could taste the air.
You could taste the air in your mouth.
You could feel you could bite on the the grit.
and the you know, all all of the um the the the stuff and and this and then for months afterwards when you went near the pit, as it was called, that acrid um sort of
Whatever it was would just fill the back of your throat and make your eyes water.
So I'm not at all surprised that Paul and his colleagues, and you know, it it said often enough that that um with with um 3,000 people almost died on that day, but over 17, 18,000 were safely evacuated, and that was all due to the bravery of the police and the firemen, and and they can never be remembered.
Enough for that that they gave their lives.
Over 300 of them and over a thousand have died since from 9-11 related illnesses.
I understand that at the moment, four out of every five firefighters who were there that day, 12,000 out of 15,000, are now suffering from illnesses as a result.
So they're continuing to pay for this.
And you know, the all these people were saved because of their bravery.
And I do remember a woman, a young Irish woman who
Was working that day on the 53rd floor of the North Tower.
