people just walking in complete silence and I watched literally hundreds and then thousands
of people there there were no iPhones then, people weren't taking photographs.
There was no trying to capture this, you know.
People were moving away as they were being told.
And they were covered, as I say, all of them in this yellow, um, thick dust.
And and they were a lot of them they were crying.
So you could see the dust streaking through their faces.
Some of them had superficial cuts and they were bleeding, not profusely, but there were cuts on their heads and faces and you could see blood running down.

They weren't speaking to each other.
They were just going straight ahead.
And it was
I and it may sound weirdly inappropriate, but I was reminded of
Almost like a zombie movie or or something, just and it was the eerie silence of all of these and this exodus of silence going across the bridge with all these people just covered in and some of them were missing shoes, some of them some of them were still holding on to briefcases, some of them had like ties and shirts ripped open, but but the shock, the the the unbelievable shock that had just descended, and then all the time.
the sirens, the sirens, you couldn't get away from the noises.
And then planes flying up and down the East River and the jet they were 150 decibels.
These were fighter jets and the sound of those was made your eardrums literally vibrate.
So
very chaotic and and yeah, very very clear memories of that day.
That's right.
