And I just went, Oh my God, because at that stage they were still standing, but the top half, I'm going to say, thereabouts.

Was just covered, this huge, massive, like sort of a mushroom cloud of smoke with flames shooting out everywhere.

And mostly it was the noises, though.

It was all the noises.

And then the towers started coming down.

Now I didn't see that.

I had my back turned to that stage.

I was walking across.

And but then the screams just suddenly, and this sort of-I will never forget the noise more than the sight.

This huge roaring sort of

sucking noise and then

the surge of people and the screams and and the panic and police were stopping traffic and then telling them to go different ways.

There was just this chaos and people were emerging out of because it was this massive uh coming up all these narrow little streets like dirt and dust and flying debris and people running to escape it.

And they were covered in this

chalk it was it was like a yellow grey dust but thick thick coats of it and uh people were just completely covered in it with this weird yellowish tinge and the then the police at that stage became they sort of sprang into action and the nearest evacuation point was going to be over the Brooklyn Bridge and so if you went up Fulton and across over and onto Park Place at the back of City Hall that took you directly onto the bridge so they started getting

every week to go up onto the Brooklyn Bridge.

And this was the strangest thing because yet you could hear all the sirens and these weird noises and these thumps that we weren't sure what they were.

And then these sort of muffled expl it it turned out that cars underground and underground car parks were had started to explode.

So you could hear these all these strange noises that were really sinister but couldn't be identified at the time.
