Yeah, it's obviously something that 10 years on, it gets brought up daily.
So I think that sort of
goes to show how big of an achievement it actually was.
I know I don't.
I don't think any of the boys would get tired of talking about it.
It was just so much that happened that season and so much to reminisce on that it's just great story after great story.
I don't actually think we discussed what we could achieve that season.
I know that nobody was thinking we'd obviously go on and win the league and finish anywhere near that.
We was confident that we had more than enough to stay in the league.
I think...
especially with the back end of the previous season, we had proved to ourselves that we were good enough to compete at that level.
We were quietly confident we would push on from that back end and go and have a half decent season and certainly improve on what we did the season before and try not to spend so long towards the bottom and have a bit more of a push towards the top half of the league.
To be honest, it developed over the years.
At the start, it was probably getting to know each other and the runs that he was going to make that he needed to know what
sort of passes that I was going to make but I think as it went on he just made my life so much easier because it always I just knew without even putting my head up that he was going to be making that same run and all I've got to do is put it into a big area and he'll chase it and if he's
if you don't go through one-on-one with a keeper, he'll certainly sort of get us up the pitch and get something for us, whether that's a corner or throw or a penalty even.
So he never stopped running.
So it was never like there was going to be a point in the game where he was never going to be there.
He could just run all day.
He had so much energy and put defenders under pressure.
